I seem biased toward the Big Apple, but these are two publications that put great emphasis on illustrative components.

Check out the print versions of the local Stranger or Seattle Weekly, as well, for a continuous commitment to interesting visual reflections on text. Other good print sources of editorial illustration: Rolling Stone, Utne Reader, Time, etc.
